What is the difference between single stage paint and basecoat/clearcoat paint?
Single-stage paint is a type of automotive paint where the color and gloss are combined into one layer, unlike two-stage systems that require a separate clear coat for gloss and UV protection. TIP: If you take some compound and rub it onto the vehicle with a microfiber towel in a small circle and the color of vehicle shows up on your towel, it's single stage!
What activator should I use in my clear for the temperature in my shop?
The best thing is to read the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for the item that you are getting ready to spray. The activator or reducer that you buy typically will have on the can what temp range it is to be used in. This is a confusing topic for many DIYers and some professionals. FAST is for cold weather, Medium is 75-85 typically and 85+ will be a SLOW reducer or activator. Again, it is ALWAYS best to read the manufactures TDS. You can find a list of any TDS of any product that you will find in our stores at the bottom of this page. Just click the "Tech Sheets" tab below and it will take you to a list of downloadable PDF's for any product that we offer. If you can't find a TDS, call us and we can email or text you a copy. Why can't I spray an acid cleaning product onto my vehicle in direct sunlight or when it is hot?
Spraying acidic cleaning products on a hot car or in direct sunlight can lead to problems due to the heat's effect on the chemical reaction and the potential for damage to the vehicle's finish. The heat can cause the cleaner to dry too quickly, leaving behind streaks, stains, or even etching the paint or glass. TIP: In a shaded area wash down the area that you will be applying an acid cleaner with tap water. If the metal has cooled down then you are good to go. READ ALL manufactures warning labels and directions before using an acid cleaner.

How come the paint on my car doesn't match my bumper, door handles, gas lid and mirrors?
99% of car manufacturers have their bumpers, gas door, mirrors and door handles painted by an off-site third party company. Now that you have read this you will notice more and more cars with this issue while driving around town.
What is the best product to bring back my exterior plastic on my Jeep that has faded from the sun?
We have a simple two step process that will bring your exterior black plastics back to looking new. You first apply our Stinger 921 Black Magic. After two coats then apply our Stinger 927 Bumper Gel. Come in and talk to one of our team members and we can help you out!
